Mega Man: The live action fan film

So apparently, Eddie Lebron and crew of Screw Attack have made themselves a live action fan film of the popular Mega Man franchise. The movie appears to follow the plot of the first Mega Man game. From the trailer, it looks quite impressive as a fan movie and the cheesy effects actually seem to work for something like this. The film comes out on May 7 and looks to be screened at art house theaters. Check it out if you're curious.

Well, it's purely a fan film and since they're not profiting from it and are crediting the original creators, I don't think they're going to suffer any legal trouble.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Screw Attack pull a similar approach to Street Fighter: The Later Years and didn't get in trouble with Capcom then?

Art house theaters. Besides, this isn't exactly a Hollywood production.

I remeraber seeing the trailer for that a few years ago, but thought it was just a trailer. Kinda surprised to see that it's actually been completed. I can't wait to check it out.
