Medically disqualified from military service :-(?

Hi. I've been medically disqualified from entering the military, because I was diagnosed with asthma when I was younger, I have endometriosis (have had surgery twice for this in 2005), and I have fibromyalgia (treated with percocet, muscle relaxant, and prescription strength ibuprofen). In spite of all this, I'm in the process of getting in shape physically. My goal for getting in shape is to be as physically fit as my big brother, an Army Sgt. I've wanted to serve in the military for a LONG time, but ever since 2005 (year I turned 18), I've been medically disqualified. I was hoping someone could give me suggestions on how I could serve my country even though I'm not allowed to serve in the military. I'd love to become a police officer, but I'm not sure if I'd be allowed to with the medical conditions listed above. Unfortunately, I'm not in a financial situation where I'd be able to volunteer or go back to college. I don't know if it matters much for how you'll answer this, but I'm married and 22 years old (female obviously). My entire high school career revolved around the idea that I would join the military when I graduated from high school. Ever since I was disqualified, it feels like I've been wandering around aimlessly. I just want to serve my country, and I want my life to make a difference. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
Amanda
