That may be the case now, but the previous generation was not educated much. They had a skill or trade that the US wanted..went thru the long process, got approved.
My parents could only bring $6 each with them when they came.
Both came here and worked shit ass jobs for min wage, saved, put one person thru community college, worked & saved some more, put another thru community college, got better jobs, worked & saved some more. Fast forward to now..mom is able to retire early & dad will be too soon.

Being foreigners, they were discriminated against many times, but they didn't get mad & blame whitey & blackie.
