So I have a movie on my computer and I want to watch it. I tried to open it in WMP player but it opens a box and tries to get media useage rights. The box never does connect to the internet though, but that's not the problem.
I would really like to watch this movie, any ways to get around this?
Details:
I use Vista (fully up to date)
The file is WMV
I've tried it in VLC player - all it does is open it, show me a screen of messy color blocks and the title of the movie, and plays 10 minutes of nothing.
The file is the right size (about 700mb) so I know there's something in there.
I scanned it will all kinds of virus/spyware scans and it is clean.
I have K-lite mega codec pack (updated)
I tried to play it in Media Player Classic (came with k-lite) and it said it can't render the file.
So, what do I need to do now?
Also does anyone know of a good tech-support type forum that is very active?
I do have home premium.
and wouldn't a dvd codec have come with K-lite?
