media test failure check cable?

I have a older sony vaio (windows xp, model PCG-974L) that randomly crashed in Jan of this year.

I have yet to have it fix (the people at a local business said my laptop doesn't recongnize it's self).

When I open it and turn it on, the following appers:

PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-061: Media test failure, check cable

PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel PXE ROM


Any solutions into fixing this?
