Media Hmwk is confusing?

i have a question in my hmwk...

what are the conventions of this media platform specifically referencing the particular type of website you are attempting to replicate

What does it mean?? ive tried searching it on the interenet but nothing is really coming up x
 
hiya erm from what i can remember i think it means what will that type of website (or whatever your looking at newspaper tv show etc) always have
eg a social networking site like facebook or myspace will have
*pictures
*comments
*status
*friends
etc
