Media Center on Windows 7 is locking up after watching a show for a while!?

I have a brand new ASUS computer with Windows 7 installed, and I often watch TV on it through Media Center. I have a WinTV PVR 2 device hooked up, and I have plenty of hard-drive space. It happens after watching a show for about half an hour and becomes choppy and skips a few seconds. I tried updating the drivers and the codecs, but to no avail. I would appreciate the help!
