So. Everytime I try to watch something, it always starts skipping after a few minutes. Eventually the video will freeze. I rewind and play, it'll run okay, then freeze again. Recorded shows freeze more often. If I open Media Center as soon as the computer is running - without opening anything else first - I can get up to two hours of smooth tv viewing, but it starts freezing and skipping after that. I watch my CPU Usage with it running. It ranges from 7% to 24%, roughly. Without Center running, it ranges from 1% to 11%. Of course, it occasionally spikes up high and the % is more or less in constant fluctuation, so those ranges are approximate. As for Mem Usage, I usually have the internet (approximately 50,000 K Mem Usage) and AIM (aprox. 9500 K Mem Usage) running as well. I've tried running Center after closing everything (everything that I know is safe to close anyway, which is AIM, internet, and AVG) but it still has issues. Video card is NVidia GeForce 8600 GT (assuming i'm looking at the right thing). I also downloaded Nvidia PureVideo and I assume it automatically functions.
