mechanics who work at dealerships?

does it mean they only know how to work on those cars or they can work on anything
 
generally they can work on most any vehicle as they are ASE certified, but may specialize in one or two makes. I hope this helped.
 
mainly they are trained to wok on the cars they sell but all cars are basicly the same so they do work on others they will no the short cuts in car repair for say a gm or ford dealer as a tech from foreign dealer would not but they will come to the same conclusion
