Mechanics, what could be wrong?

I have a 2001 Grand Marquis that has been shutting down, as I accerlate then the engine dies off. At first the car hesitates as I want to accelerate then it dies if I keep accelerating. I took it to Auto Zone and here is what the said.

P0305 is a cylinder misfire for #5 cylinder the most likely fix will be a coil each cylinder has a seperate coil these fail all the time causing bucking hesitation and possible stall the best way to pinpoint this is to do a power balance test this will show the misfire and the cylinder the air pump code will not cause the problem you are having, you can buy an aftermarket coil for about 46.00 bucks
