The song is about a pervert, a peeping tom.

Dave has confirmed this and I find it so funny that people think its a sweet love song................its not.

...little more ...? Just that specific part of the song ... the rest of the lyrics seem to fit but the part ... Hike up your skirt a little more and show the world to me ... throws me off a bit. I'm sure it will all make perfect sense once someone that knows explains it to me.

What an awesome song...

You can't just take that one line out of context. It actually fits with the other lyrics:

Hike up your skirt a little more
And show your world to me
In a boys dream.. in a boys dream
Oh I watch you there
Through the window
And I stare at you
You wear nothing but you
Wear it so well

I'm not going to get into a graphic discussion but basically he said (during an unplugged session) that it was written from a 'peeping tom's point of view'.
He's enjoying the beauty of this woman....as a man!!!

Well, it could either mean literally-as in a sexual way. Or, I was searching around to see if anyone else some ideas and opinons on the meaning-

'The "Hike up your skirt" lines could be, on a deeper level, interpreted as "Show me something you've never shown anyone else" if you look at it metaphorically. The "little more" bit indicates that it's being done slowly. So, he asks her to slowly reveal more of herself to him, that is, to become closer not only physically, but in knowing each other as well. His use of the word "the" in that first line suggests that she is his world, or to show it to him as she sees it. Intimacy is, after all, not a sexual thing, but how well you know someone.'

I don't have the source, but it's a personal opinon from someone who listened to the song. The only person who really knows is the great Mr. Matthews himself :)
