...to enlist in the army....? and he supports my decision...but we are not sure that we want to live together as soon as i get stationed... will the army frown upon this??? This is just how we have decided to live our lives for the time being. Now we are only 45mins apart so no biggie for us...but what about the army
 
BAH will be based on where you ENLISTED FROM( your home of record) while you are in training. It will be based on your DUTY station afterward.. regardless of where your spouse chooses to live.

once you have completed training you WILL NOT be allowed to live in the barracks. you cannot live in base housing unless he lives with you. so you woudl have to fund both rents out of one BAH. you would No longer be eligible for Family sep either as soon as you got accompanied orders.

and they won't care where he is.. so you could find yourself on opposite coasts.
 
Im in the Us Army Private first class keezer, Its a big comitment and you will be lied to, active duty is army all day everyday reserve or national guard is part time and you keep your regular full time job, but dont let people lie to you its not a matter of if you will get deployed its a matter of when. Trust me I was lied to and you will be to. Im telling you this so you dont regret your decison.
