me and my friend want to go camping on our own?

we have both been wanting to do this for a good 12 months and we know its a big thing to do on our own. we arent going extreme just doing basic camping.
ok so this sounds like a normal question and u might think yeah why not. but theres one problem. were 13. the school year ends in may so we will be both 14 by the summer holidays so would it be stupid of two 14 year olds to go camping on their own. we are both very outgoing and camp alot climb mountains and we are both confident we know what we are doing. we are thinking of trialing it for just one night on our own. then if it goes well try a weekend on our own. and then try go for a week. we know what we have to be able to take and do and we know where we are hoping to go and our parents seem ok with the idea. just want the opinion of you lot :) we know it needs a lot of planning and we are well on our way with equipment lists and day to day schedules and what we have to do. personal hygiene, meals ect.. we know what we are doing really just want the opinion of you. thanks in advance
 
Me & my buddies started out camping in our backyards. We never had adult supervision . We roamed the neighborhoods allnight playing Hide & Seek. Sometimes we pretended we were on a recon mission . I'm not sure I would want my kids doing the stuff we did . It is a mericle nobody got shot or hauled off to jail . Take an adult along learn camping little by little ...
 
I'm not sure campgrounds even allow unaccompanied minors to stay overnight.

Neither of you drive, right? Do you have a contingency plan in the event of a medical emergency?

Pretty risky. Guess I wouldn't rule it out completely...you'd have to be exceptional 14 year-olds. Lack of cell phone service would be a deal breaker for sure.
