more.. He says it only means 2.? Help? Who is right?
Look it up or a small amount like 3
mainly 2 but can also be 3

no, couple means two. just like when you say 2 people are a couple, you are refering to two people...not three. "few" usually means three and more

your friend. a "couple", like in relationship terms, is two people. or, the way i figured out the distinction between a couple and a few is this, and ill warn you now, its crazy-stupid. you see, "a couple" has three sylables, and i memorized that three is not a couple, but "a few" has two sylables, and two is not a few, so...yeahh. like i said...crazy-stupid.

Traditionally 'couple' refers to two. Colloquially it can mean 'few'.
eg, " Wanna go drink a couple of beers?"

It depends on what you are talking about. If you mean people, it means 2, like "David and Elaine are a couple." If you are talking about peanuts, glasses of beer, or the equivalent, it means a few, as in "let's have a couple of peanuts."

Well it depends on how its used

Your friend is saying Jessica and Jerry are a couple!
That is correct...

You are saying "Can i have a couple french fries"
which you would be right two...
But out of both of you, i would say your friend is more right than you are
But you both are correct,

If you want to get technical, 'couple' is just two. Example- "May and Brandon are a couple." They're called a couple because there's two of them in the relationship.

I had this same debate once. And I was convinced that a couple could mean more then 2.

But I believe "a couple" does only mean 2, if you're describing a number greater then 2, you can say "a few" or "several".
