McCartney Concert on ExpressVu in HD

The news reported that no incident/accident happened. Security managed the first round of the crowd and then remainder went about without any security control what so ever as they simply stayed aside for any potential problems.

Humm... Live show was paid by PQ & CDN governments while TV broadcasters are corporate businesses and exist to make money therefore, broadcasting has to be paid by interested/willing users. As far as I concerned, I hope they make a DVD of it and I will willingly buy as I am not a "willing user" of either BEV or videotron!

Cheers!

yeah it was a great show, I was there also,
at the end Sir Paul said see you on the dvd,
I am hoping, all that footage, behind the scenes, setting up the show, interviews ect and the whole concert, does get used for a BD eventually

A very good friend of mine was in charge of all microphones used during the show. During afternoon testing, he took his cellphone and was about to take a picture of Sir Paul and a bodyguard quickly came to him and asked him to put that phone away and he wasn't going to ask twice. My buddy said it was the biggest goon he had ever seen. He did put the phone away without a picture...:o

Tickets or not, lineups like this have caused serious problems, including injuries and deaths, at other venues. I am glad there were no serious problems but the organizers were irresponsible.

The repeat on VuHD3 was of very decent quality: 13.5Mbps ABR, 11/21 Mbps Min/Max, some 17GB for 2.75 hours.
Considering concerts are the hardest to encode - not a bad job.

Mustn't let corporations lose out on their profit...I can see why you support this tactic.

Truth is...broadcasters can make tons of money by selling ads.

For those who haven't yet see the show it will play on TVA on the 31rst of December at 9:45

Yes it's a French channel (that is included in the English base so everyone will see it)!

Last I checked it didn't have the "HD-" prefix in the EPG, but hopefully that was just an oversight.

I picked-up the celine Dion DVD on the Plaine this Xmas (24th) was hoping to find the one for Paul McCartney on the Plaine, someone mentioned it was advertized but couldn't find it. Can anyone confirmed availability on DVD???

Didn't see it advertised...

My friend was supposed to give me a copy of the PPV that his uncle put on DVD, but he never did!
