This is no tactic, this is life... Companies exist to make money and I think there could be good money there for them, why would they miss out on this? As I mentioned, I would much prefer investing in a DVD as it would stick with me instead of the service it self.

Lucky him! Who is he working for? Solotech? I don't think there is that many companies that are fit for such a job in Quebec... Pretty big gig!

That's good news! I also like the fact that they are keeping constant with the videotron pricing!

And the taxpayers get the bill. I wonder what ruling party connections were required to get the best tickets. Excuse me while I puke over the government waste and corruption surrounding this show... :p

A bit pricey per single viewing for my tastes. I wonder how much the DVD will be?

I belive there was no ticket... First come best view was the rule I think! I watched the news and they were showing people that got there the day before, sleeping on the site (and it rained that night!) just to be in front of that stage. At the noon news some people were leaving complaing that there was too many people wanting to be in front, and people were pushing too much, they coudn't take it, went home and came back later for the show. We saw them on the news the nest day and they said they didn't had the view they would have if they stayed, but woudn't have been able to be pushed that long

Really? I think $20 for a live concert in HD is pretty good! The replay price is still under the price of a Blu-ray disc!

I think the live concert will not be presented in HD. Only the replay on friday July 25th.

I am amazed that they did something like a lineup for free tickets, especially after the deaths that have occurred in similar circumstances. A lottery is the best way to handle tickets for an event like this. I am appalled at the way this was handled. :o

But Videotron also presents it for viewers in Quebec, mom saw the advertisement today

My understanding is that the show is free for those attending in Quebec City........a similiar arrangement should have been made by ExpressVu as a thank you to all its loyal and devoted subsribers.

It was a free concert on TV too! lol

They give us a full refund + 3 free movie on Vu because de concert was not finnish at midnight when they cut us on Vu!

Monday when I called Express Vu I was hoping for maybe for a 10$ credit for the 5 minutes missing at midnight, when they said 20$ + 3 free movie I was verry happy!

Videotron is only in PQ, I think the only other provider who could claim national is Starchoice, and I guess they are not carrying it.

Even in quebec we had to pay to see the show on TV.... but it was Free for those that actually gone to the show... like I did, and it was a great show... 2h45 of non stop music by Sir Paul...

I would like to get it for 19.99 in HD but.. the bad reliability of the 9242 to record a show without any bug will prevent me for doing it... i'll wait for the blu Ray DVD ... if it evers comes out ! ;)

have a nice day !

Exactly! NO tickets, first come first serve and if you moved away you lost your place! However, most people that were interviewed after the show really enjoyed the experience!
