McCain: the Tea Party Republicans are either deceptive or delusional Hobbits

Why has Obama put the 14th Amendment "off the table?" Could it be that he is terrified of making a unilateral decision when he doesn't have Pelosi to hide behind? Could it be that he rather enjoys sitting in the cat bird seat?

So when tea party merabers stick to their guns on the debt crisis they are garabling with the economy, but when Obama does it he's being presidential

Yeah, Obama is doing such a bang up job here ....

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 25% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-three percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -18 (see trenRAB).

Just 17% of Likely U.S. Voters now say the country is heading in the right direction. That finding is the lowest measured since Barack Obama took office.

Be a willful idiot if you like. Very few Americans, however, are confused about how Obama has been quite willing to have liberal sacred cows on the bargaining table. The awesomeness is that -- thanks to the Tea Party -- Obama won't have to make sacrifices in a single one of the major liberal programs, yet he'll still come out with credit for being far more reasonable in the negotiations.

Thanks a million for making that happen, Tea Party.

Fuck John McCain. Hey faggot... just because you crashed your plane in Vietnam doesn't mean you'd make a good president, it just means you're a shitty pilot.

NBC/Wall Street Journal poll:...among all Americans, the plans proposed by President Obama and Democrats have more support. Asked to choose between Obama's proposal, "which would reduce the Federal deficit by four trillion dollars over the next decade by cutting federal spending, increasing taxes on corporations and the wealthy, and reducing the level of spending on Medicare," or the Republicans' proposal to "reduce the Federal deficit by two and a half trillion dollars over the next decade by cutting Federal spending and would not raise taxes on corporations or the wealthy," respondents choose Obama's plan by a 58-to-36-percent margin.

Gallup poll:

CBS Poll: President Obama earned the most generous approval ratings for his handling of the weeks-old negotiations, but still more people said they disapproved (48 percent) than approved (43 percent) of what he has done and said ...
Approval drops to 31 percent for the Democrats in Congress, and only 21 percent of the people surveyed said they approved of Republicans' handling of the negotiations, while 71 percent disapprove ... Sixty-six percent of those polled said they believe an agreement will be reached before the Aug. 2 deadline, while only 31 percent say it's unlikely.

"Even half of the Republican respondents (51 percent) voiced disapproval of how merabers of their own party in Congress are handling the talks."

He is correct. Sarah Palin did not torpedo McCain's campaign. McCain's chance for election was lost when he shut down his campaign in order to run back to Washington to vote for the same bail out shit that Obama voted for.

You mean if a debt ceiling deal doesn't happen?

Boehner will pass a deal even if he has to count on Democratic party votes. If he doesn't, his party is currently reaping most of the blame for failing to strike a deal, so they'd set themselves up for being booted out in 2012.

Raising corporate income tax is downright stupid. Large corporations have very poor tax compliance. You're only hurting small business when you raise corporate income tax. If you think you're getting more money out of Google or Pfizer by raising corporate income tax, you're fucking delusional.

I'd be okay with raising personal income tax on top earners, though, so long as spending can be capped. History shows that when you give these faggots more money, they'll just take it and increase spending.

He wasn't terrible until the name "Sarah Palin" was put alongside his

And isn't Sarah Palin a tea party hero, thus making that pretty ironic?
