McCain: the Tea Party Republicans are either deceptive or delusional Hobbits

He then quoted the following from a WSJ editorial:

"The idea seems to be that if the House GOP refuses to raise the debt ceiling, a default crisis or gradual government shutdown will ensue, and the public will turn en masse against ... Barack Obama. The Republican House that failed to raise the debt ceiling would somehow escape all blame. Then Democrats would have no choice but to pass a balanced-budget amendment and reform entitlements, and the Tea Party Hobbits could return to Middle Earth having defeated Mordor."

"If conservatives defeat the Boehner plan they will not only undermine their House majority, they will go far [toward] reelecting Mr. Obama and making entitlements that much harder to reform."

So it's the tea party that's made Obama's approval ratings highest than ever?
Probably the reason Congress' ratings are through the roof too.

snort, snort, giggle, snort

sorrry, hard to hold back the laughter

how about mind your own fucking business you goddamn turableweed?

I wasn't even talking to you, and I'm not going to let you derail the thread with your bullshit.

shut it durabass. It's getting old you hopping in here playing the retard time and again. Making posts that you know full well the answer is just to be a troll. You knew all the crap about democrats laying the blame on Palin yet try to play it off.

None of the real "tea party" type people I've talked to were slobbering over the prospect of Palin as VP... or even as a relevant politician. She's a capital-R-Republican that saw the TEA movement as a way to higher popularity. McCain saw that potential too, and tried to glom on by attaching her as his VP. The whole thing failed.

im still waiting for a link where a democrat is blaming Palin for the shooting.

not a "liberal". not some goddamn blogger. an elected official, or appointed party officer who BLAMES and only BLAMES Sarah Palin for what happened in Arizona.

not making comments that the campaigning imagery was over the top, not one where its a nasty unwanted element in our politics, but something that BLAMES Sarah Palin for Arizona.

and i mean i want you to sit through, read the goddamn webpages and come back with a link.

or they could just pass a 6 month temporary bill through now and let Obama deal with it.

If he Vetoes it, then it's his ass having to explain why he didn't want to pass even a temp solution.
if he passes it, it moves this whole issue out closer to election time.

Either way that would be the best thing for Republicans to do at this point.

Tea Party ugliness largely flew under the radar until those elections and now they've done nothing but turn off independents and moderate Republicans -- the people who can actually keep a party in power.

It got my wife's vote. She admitted to me she voted for Palin- not McWar. Without Palin, she would have voted libertarian or Constitution party.
