As you've all probably noticed I haven't been on lately therefore, I can't continue pissing of Jiraffe and making sex jokes. My computor got a virus and it didn't delete anything except the software for my modem. I'll get it fixed as soon as I can. F U all for now :D:mfinger:

It's spelled McAffee. I would plant a virus deeper into your computer if you misspelled my name.

Mr. McAffee used to live near my parents in Rainbow Valley, up here. He ran into my sister's car when she was in high school. He just wrote her a check and left.

My step-dad is an engineer. They were doing some work for McAffee on his huge estate. He said that he had naked chicks running around playing paintball.

Amen to Kaspersky, also look up NOD32. It's very tiny and powerful, not near the resource hogging pile of bloatware that Norton and McAffee are now.

AVG sucks pretty bad too. I put it on my sister and parent's computers, and set it to auto update on boot (laptops), a while back when their NOD32 subscriptions ran out. My sister and mother both got viruses within a few months.

I wouldn't waste time or money on anything but NOD32 or Kaspersky. Nothing else even comes close.

Yeah, I've been meaning to switch to Kaspersky, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Right now, AVG has done a good job for me.

1) There's one f. ;-) (...edited thread title to reflect official spelling)...

2) I also recommend Kaspersky, and AVAST. Avast has done a tremendous job, has daily virus updates, listens to it's customers, and has both free and pro versions. Catches viruses on occasion, believe you me. ;) Their detections are actually quite good, and improving all the time. Catches everything I throw at it, and I test it by grabbing various viruses and such from a source I have so...

Kaspersky is pretty good. I'd say NOD32s heuristics are slightly better though, and it has a very small memory footprint and scans really fast. I actually switched from Kaspersky to NOD32 a few years back, and I wouldn't go back.
