I don't think it's his thing. I have a feeling being a male he'll hate the video itself too. Also what would be the representative style on his first two albums? They only thing they have in common is their darker. Wind in the Wires is an orchestrated folk album and Lycanthropy is impossible to pigeon hole.
 
Firstly 1996 had like, three good black metal albums and a lot of **** that was a direct result of metallica and pantera's, as well as the post-grunge and hardcore movement, which unfortunately was not at all living up to it's ancestors. 1996 was not a good year for rock, nor was it a good year for progressive rock, nor was it a good year for metal, and of course, all other genres are crab by default. That's why it's ridiculous to claim that 96 was a good year.

It's basically like saying your favourite year for Cabernet is one where it tasted like watered down cats piss endowed with antifreeze.
 
i meant nope we can't agree it's amazing because i haven't heard it. wasn't saying it isn't (although it probably isn't)
 
I have a very 'exclusive' collection of CD's these days, the only two I think a fair few people might have are, Jimi Hendrix - Axis: Bold as love and london calling - the clash, Although I doubt theres not someone who doesn't have them. I seriously doubt even if i wasnt here that there'd be an album every regular here owned.
 
Maybe I'm an exception but I know more about the 90s than about the pass 8 years when comes to music. 1996 is the best year ever for music by the way. Nevermind is full pop songs. Bleach is hardcore album. You have to able to see the dissapoint of going from only hearing Bleach to listening to Nevermind. It is a wimpy album in comparrison to the raw gritty energy on Bleach. In Utero is good by fact that everything Albini touches turns to gold. I mean the man made good Bush and Chevelle albums. I'm not trying to play into or against popular opinions. I just listen to music and communicate how I feel about.

I don't own Nevermind or Californication, nor do I plan on ever. I stepped on my copy AEnema and it broke-it's the worst Tool album anyway.

Age doesn't really dictate people's taste. At least not people who are trying to constantly to find new music. Which I'd say most people here are. And I'd say most people here have at least listened to Nevermind front to back -opinions of it aside. The comment was related. I was saying that my favorite year of music was when I was 5 years old in contrast to what you said were the patterns of your tastes. Just because when you were born has influence over what you listen to doesn't mean that it does for most people here. It was related I don't see what's wrong with expanding the conversation beyond the topic if it still relates to music and the point I was making. I didn't start a discussion about whole step scales in use of dream sequences for movies or anything.
 
I was making suggestions for people to comment on. A lot of people here like those albums. I don't think this is a board where most people turn on the radio so I don't think this certain album has to be chart topper. Nevermind is a watered down album compared to their previous output.
