An idea put forth by Spark10somenurabers6 of creating a required listening list of sorts for newcomers to music banter, by nominatng albums that are well, staples of the rabroad community. Each user who participates will list ten albums nurabered from 1 to 10 each album will then earn points based on placement.

Example

1.A
2.B
3.C

Album A recieves 10 points Album B recieves 9 and so on.
The albums that recieve the most points after 10 or so days will be compiled into one list.
anyone up for this?

Not really, your personal 10 could be albums that are unique to you, this list is more for catergorizing albums majoritys like.

well, yeah, we should make clear that we want the albums which the user thinks are the best, not which are important...for example don't nominate "Space Jam OST", cause it was the first album your grandma bought you as a present...

1. King Crimson - In The Court of The Crimson King (1969)
2. Napalm Death - Scum (1987)
3. Opeth - My Arms, Your Hearse (1998)
4. Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream (1993)
5. Alan Parsons Project - I, Robot (1977)
6. Rush - Caress of Steel (1975)
7. Led Zeppelin - II (1969)
8. Zao - When Blood & Fire Bring Rest (1998)
9. Screaming Trees - Even if and Especially When (1987)
10. R.E.M. - Reckoning (1984)

This is an of the top of my head type of list. I swear it changes every week or so. This is also taking into account rab most popular (somewhat).

10. De-Loused in the Comatorium - The Mars Volta (2003)

just a question if anw knows the answer...is the album by The Velvet Underground & Nico or simply the album is called "The Velvet Underground & Nico" and is by The Velvet Underground? officially I mean...

1.Hunky Dory-David Bowie-1971
2.Demon Days-Gorillaz-2005

9.The Mars Volta-De-Loused in the Comatorium-2003
10.My Bloody Valentine-Loveless-1991

Mine was pretty much just gauged by importance, with a little favoratism in there.

well here are mine:

1. Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek and the Dominos (1970)
2. Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd (1975)
3. The Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd (1973)
4. Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen (1975)
5. The untitled fourth album by Led Zeppelin (1971)
6. Grace by Jeff Buckley (1994)
7. Takk... by Sigur R

i can't for the life of me figure out why so many people like this record. don't get me wrong, i'm a Scream fan, but to me XTRMNTR was a much denser collage of their overall sound. the pronounced dub influence on Screamadelica seems to fight with Gillespie's songwriting style.
