We were replacing the gasket near the intake manifold of my Mazda 626 but when we turned the car on there was a loud screech from the belt and then the car turned back off. If the engine was revved the screech would stop but as soon as we let up on the gas the engine would quit again. The engine also seemed to be shaking quite a bit as well. We had a whole team of professional/retired mechanics looking at it but none of them could find the problem. Any suggestions?
