I am in the market for a 2010 Mazda 3S hatchback auto w/ bose and moonroof option. I saw one at a special price for $20,800. I live in the Dallas area.
1. Is this a good deal?
2. Since mazda has a lease special now ($279/mo for 42mo) but at a cap. cost of over $21K, does this mean my payment will be lower than advertised?
3. Even though dealer said this is a special price, can they go lower?
4. What interest rate is used on this lease special and can I shop around to get a lower interest and then lease the car at lower payments than advertised?
5. What is the minimum beacon score needed in order to get this lease rate? Advertisement says "Some people will have lower pymts, and some higher than advertised depending on their credit"
6. I went to dealership asking if they could appraise my vehicle since I will trade it in, but they would not do this until I found a specific car I wanted so they could write up a quote on everything (purchase price, monthly payments, etc and then the appraised amount). Is this the way dealerships do this? They told me to look on kbb.com, but I know the estimates given are in a range of $3K.
