Mazda RX8 rotary engine help please?

I've recently purchased an Rx8, and i've got some questions.

My first is, is it ok do get in and drive? I usually try and let it warm up a little, but there are times i don't have that option, and need to get in a drive (although i keep it under 4K rpm till it warms up )

is this ok or will it damage the engine?

And with that it leads me to my other question, Rotary Engine Care?

Any good sites or anything that tell you specific things to look out for, to avoid, and to NOT avoid?

If anything, could those of you that know the rotary, give me some pointers, advise, tips...etc?

(btw, i DO know that i need to {and do} check the oil at every fill up)
 
well i blame the idiots at the dealer for this. When you buy a RX8 they were suppose to actually give you a video teaching you how to take care of your engine. Just go back to them and they should have one at the parts counter.
