Alright, to start of its the 1993 and up model.. so the third generation.
Ok, before you answer this question i need people with seriously high knowledge about tuning cars, even better if its the Rx7, so please no people that dont know what they are talking about.
Ok, so i have 40 grand US to spend. I wanted to buy a porsche 996 turbo, but i really want the rx7 so i can tune it, i also love the idea about a Japanese imported car.
Ok now i want to know, since im going to do heavy engine modifications, is it better to buy a decent rx7 without an engine for 5 grand?? Because i want to engine swap, i dont really know much about rotary engines, but i know theres a 13b and a 20b? how much would it cost to purchase a 20b engine and get somebody to install it in a mazda rx7? Is it a bad choice? Should i get a different engine? Please help all information is accepted.
I saw a good mazda rx7 with an engine for 12 grand, but i also saw two rx7's without engines for 5 and 7 grand.. So i was thinking of just buying it without the engine and buying an engine to fit it in, and add a turbo and air intake. I want at least 400 bhp and for it to go 0-100 kph in under 5 seconds, is this possible with 40 grand? (That doesn't include the car already bought, and the veilside kit)
Im a newbie when it comes to Japanese cars and tuning, so please help me.
List some engine mods i could do, how much labor would cost all that stuff.
