Hi, I have a 93 Mazda MX6 , its a 6 cyl. now im not a mechanic and i know your recommendation will probably be "take it to a mechanic" but here is the thing...i have..thats just the problem. i have taken this car to about 3 or 4 different mechanics, spent wayy over 1000$$ for this particular problem, and still ....no solution, and i have just about HAD IT WITH THIS CAR.
it is a 5 speed
24 valve DOHC
PROBLEM: it will be the beggining of the day as i walk outside open my driver side door, get in and turn the key with the clutch down, as it hesitates to start i have to put it into neutral with then putting the E-brake up and slamming my right foot all the way down on the gas pedal. as the car is trying to turn i wait, cranking and cranking and finally, VROOM it starts,
1) Trouble starting, only way to start basically is to fully push gas pedal and hold it.
as it is idling , normally it will stay around 900rpms to about 1200rpms , but then it will slowly increase towards 2200rpms to 2900 rpms and , the worst part is when i try and take off, it will sputter, kick back and forth, buck (car will rock back and forth VERY ROUGH)
2) Sputtering,Bucking, Knocking in ANY GEAR.
mainly those are the two problems
these are the following things Ive replaced to try and fix this
1. BRAND NEW distributor and Crankshaft position sensor
2. BRAND NEW O2 Sensors
3. New Fuel Pump
& Fuel Regulator
i did however take off my TPS (Throttle Position Sensor ) and replaced it with a used one to find out that this did nothing so i put mine back on.
a friend of mine had recommended i clean the entire throttle body and use mid-grade to super gas to clean the engine as well because my car IS running WAYY to rich, it smells horrible
when it idles high and sputters whitish black smoke comes from the tail
no rotten egg smell (Cat. Converter)
i really don't know what to do
i just replaced all 6 spark plugs like 2 weeks ago and they are black as charcoal, CARBON PROBLEM? how do i fix this and are these suggestions made by my friend correct and ok to do (Suggested i use mid to super unleaded. gas and "open her up" for 15 mins on a back road to clean the injectors ETC.) please this would be greatly appreciated if someone could help out .
i would prefer a phone call to talk more but leave an answer i guess and ill try to PM or something
