Mazda MX-5 Fuel Problem?

Right i Have a 1994 Mazda MX-5 Roadster it has a problem with the fuel, i was wondering if anyone could help and list the checks i could see what may be wrong?
when i meant the fuel i ment it is like not getting to the engine... could it be the float??
