hello, my name is Cole Banks and i am a new owner of a 1994 mazda miata convetible. My Grandmother bought it for me a little more than a week ago and the previous man that owned it was a car inthusiast and did not listen to much music. So, he installed 3 guages where the radio used to be, a analog clock, a voltage guage, and a engine vacuum guage, i liked the guages but preferrably like to listen to music more, so i get all of the body parts off and the guy has taken the radio’s usual power supply system, (the bigger of the two that plug into the back of the factory stereo system) and spliced it into the guage power supply. He disconnected exactly 3 wires from the power supply plug (again the big plug) and spliced them into the guages, i simply disconnected the guages and did a mediocre splice of the power supply wires, and i plug them into the back of the radio and the radio dosnt work, I replace the fuze to the radio and it still dosnt work, so then i start wiggling the wires around the ones that i splice and the radio only seems to work when it is moved in a certain way, and it is definately the power supply because the other cord was not messed with, i am going to go back into the back of the radio and into the plug and sauder the wires together, but it seemes like the disconnected ones are not the problem, i was wiggling them and it did not make a difference when the radio was on, if i do need a new plug for it, i do not know how to install it and would like to know, but if you guys have any suggestions since you are the audio masters ha
i would apreciate if you would go ahead and comment this page or email them to the email that i have supplied. i would definately not like to have to reqire the whole car and do not think i will have to, so agian, any suggestions would be very much apreciated.
thanks,
Cole Banks
