Mazda miata!! Old or new?!?!?

ok my brother is selling his audi r8 white 2010 25 k its look like scam but not.25k we will be donated to charity we dont like westert union and credit.my broth will go there if ur interestd
 
I'm buying a used Mazda Miata. Not sure yet weather to buy an OLDER Miata and have more money left over for repairs etc, or buy a newer model ('06) and have less money left over but a better looking car that's newer. What is the best option!?
 
Buy a 90's miata for 1k, rebuild the bottom end, throw a huge turbo or s/c at it...

You can buy new or newer if you want but the insurance will be higher and the performance isn't much better unless it's a mazdaspeed.
