A few days ago I was cruising down the freeway at 80 when I started to loose power like my engine was not getting fuel / spark. I pulled over, threw some oil in it and called it good.
The next day on my way to work I was cruising at 80 again and I started loosing power, but in a worse way. I pulled over stopped and it died. I tried to start it, and it wouldn't even try to turn over. I swore several times waited a few minutes and tried to start it again. It started right up, idled normally. Sweet I thought and put it in drive to go to work. I got about 15 feet and it died again. More swearing.
I sat for a second before trying to start it again. This time as I turned the key I could hear an audible clicking from the engine. I thought, maybe it's the starter. A few minutes later it started up again. I let it idle for about 5 minutes, but figured I was going to get it towed so I backed it up to a nicer spot for the tow truck guy. As soon as I was Finished accelerating it died.
I tried to start it a few more times while I was waiting for the tow truck and it wouldn't even try to turn over.
I'm not sure if I want to mention that before all of this happened I was getting a real squeely belt noise when it was cold and I first started the car and drove off.
What would cause me to loose power like that? / Not start. Thanks
