mazda 6 vs. Chrysler 300c?

I dont understand why his v8 engine barely outdoes my v6. we have raced quite a few times and he beats me but by a small margin. acceleration is barely better and even when we get past 40 mph my mazda still keeps up in acceleration..why is this? shouldnt his v8 destroy me?
 
Quality vs. quantity of engine. Also your Mazda is probably significantly lighter.
 
try racing a srt than talk. chrysler is 5000. pounds almost 3 times heavier than you. it would distroy you if it was a v-8 mercedes benz.
 
Mazda 6 is much much lighter and more aerdynamic so it easily keeps up.

And Japanese cars could easily make 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder cars as powerful as 8 cylinder cars with the use of smarter engine designing and turbochargers.

For example. The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has 500HP from a Larger V8 engine. And the 2009 Porsche Cayman S has a 330HP from a 6 cylinder engine.

The Porsche is faster, quicker, and handles better.

Porsche 911 Turbo and Nissan GTR both have 6 cylinder engines with almost 500HP, which is more than the Chevy Corvette's V8 engine.
