Mazda 6 question please!!?

The battery died on our 2004 mazda 6 key fob. I replaced the battery, and it still doesn't work. What do I need to do to make the car "recognize" it? Thanks!!
 
look in the phone book for the nearest mazda dealership, call and ask for the service dept and ask them. they can definitely tell you. if you tell me what type of 6 it is, i can find out easily for you. is it a Grand Touring, touring or sport. also, is it an i or s or sv?
