Mazda 3 Transmission swap?

i have an automatic transmission bcuz i wanted it for a daily commute of 1 hour...but i really want to start to kick it in gear and start to really build it. i was wondering how hard it is to do a tranny swap from auto to manual..i know it would just be easier to just buy a whoole other car..but i just want to do it this way. any tips?
 
Well that would be a big mistake. There is no added performance to adding a stick.

Although the parisitic loss of power between an auto and a manual is there, it's not very evident. Especially if you don't know how to shift, than an auto is better. Plus you can build an auto to shift faster and harder than any manual ever could.

Take a trip to the drag strip... all the high horsepower cars have automatics because in drag racing, manuals means losing!!!

So for your street racing an automatic is WAAYYYY better


unless you are autocrossing or road racing the car, forget everything I just said.
