Mazda 3 or Toyota Corolla?

Either one would be an '09. I'm buying in either january or february. I personally like the Mazda better, but I hear that the Corolla has better resale value (however, I also hear that they require more work and know they don't have nearly as smooth of a ride). Anyway, give me your opinion!

much sportier, fuel miser (4-door)
larger, too and more fun
But that ugly grill in the front looks like a smiley face on the 3

The 3 all the way. It's a sporty car, great gas mileage and reliability. And to the other guy, the 09 Doesnt have the smiley grill, that's only the 2010. Go for the Mazda
