Mazda 3 or Honda Civic for first car?

I'd say Mazda 3. I own a Mazda. They are soo cute and great to drive. Honda is just a name that everyone wants. Switch it up a little.
Pros of Mazda:
-Amazing gas mileage (I only fillup once every 2 wks. sometimes longer)
-It lasts! My car has over 198k miles on it (bought it used) and runs perfectly.
-Parts aren't expensive as Honda.
-They are cheaper than a Honda.
As for safety I checked on the net...They are both pretty much the same in all aspects.

Well they are both really good cars. The best thing about a civic is that they are very reliable. But they have very plain interiors. The mazda 3 is a little bit "nicer." I've ridden in one, but not driven one. The mazda will be a little safer in a crash. The worst part about a civic is that it seems like everybody has one...I don't like having the same car as everyone else. But it just comes down to which one you like the best, because they are both great cars.

civic is better... but also consider looking for a used honda Fit or Toyota Yaris.
