My parents are searching for a new car. They need a car that saves money on gas and that is reliable because my father has all the car's mechanics in a 40 miles radious as his enemies. But my mother probably would want a quiet and safe car, and my dad, might want a good grid and accelaration. They live in a small town with norrow roads, that go up and down the hills, and a lots a curves. But they commute to the city each day, so they also experience the highway and tons of traffic jams.

Which car you think it would be better for them.

I used to own a 1990 Corolla, which is the car that my mom is driving now, and she refuses to give it up, because she likes how smooth is to drive it (yeah it still drives like a brand new car, and we had never fix the engine or transmition, or anything big besides some hose, breaking pads, chains here and there. It even stopped counting the millage 5 years ago, it stopped at 197K).

They had norrow down their options to mazda3 and corolla because of the price, specefically. I hope someone knows which car can be the perfect match for my parents.

the corolla would make them another good car to own,i doubt that they would actually be able to wear that car out,the newer corollas are very good cars to own,i too have considered buying one, their tough cars and do hold up really well, and very easy to maintain ,corollas is good for three reasons ,price, reliability and dependability, good luck.

Hey, well I own a 2005 Mazda 3 and i love it. I have had it for over a year and i think its one of the best cars to drive around. I have been in a Corolla but for me it seems basic and Japanese. The Mazda has a nice cockpit and is different in the body. It looks like a sporty car from the front and elegant in the back. They are both gas savers and i get about 25-35 mpg which is really good. So between a Corolla and a Mazda3, I would choose the Mazda3=) That's my opinion though=)

I have a 3 and I think that the standard options for it are far greater than the corolla would be. Cruise cont. control the stereo from the wheel. Aux jack so you can plug your MP3 player into it. Plus its a fun sporty car.

i have my permit and drive my dads 2007 corolla. its a nice car but not for a 16 year old. i love cars and made my dad drive the mazda a couple months ago and he loved it. he was actually upset that he just bought the corolla and would have prefered the mazda. i say test drive them both and get which everone they like best but i prefer the new mazda. quick heads up though, the 3 is being re-designed and will be out soon from what i heard. go to mazdausa.com and check it out

The Corolla has been proven to be a bit more reliable, but the Mazda 3 has better acceleration/handling.

It really depends on how well you keep your car, and how long your planning to keep it.

Personally, i would go with the Mazda 3. The Mazda 3 is cheaper that the corolla, its more fun to drive, has more options at base, and is more attractive in styling. The downside of the Mazda 3 is that it's pretty unsafe without the side airbag option in it, so splurge a bit and add that on :)

Good luck!
