What's funny is that cults and nuts who proclaim exactly when the world will
end somehow manage to carry on in their "faith" even after the prescribed
day passes with no Armageddon.

But that isn't the ultimate futility. Someday, things really will end, and
someone will have predicted it, but there will be no one to hear them say "I
told you so!"
