if its the WILL of the people to get rid of their monarchy, and move toward democracy then we should support them, being the 'beacon of democracy', no? how can you force the will of any people to do anything they dont want, regarding their govt?

you have to realize that in some places (such as morocco and iraq) there were different periods of varying levels of treatment towards jews. although they were traditionally seen as being "treated well" there, there were still plenty of instances of institutionalized anti-semitism and violence.

of course, there were the places that were flat out awful without exception.

the whole depiction ban came after people started worshiping pictures of Muhammad, as they did the idols pre-Islam. Only one is worshiped, thats God.

So you cant depict him because a) the depiction is wrong, b) could be used in an immoral nature, like this thread, c) could lead to idol worship.

Depiction of Jesus is blasphemous too, dont think this is just about Muhammad.

As you can see, Jesus is being worshiped and not God in many "Christian" churches.

Statutes of Jesus have become idols in which people pray to which is blasphemous, the only one worthy of prayer to is God.
