does anyone else think this would make a good film, or if its been made a film who do you think should play Max?

i hope is has a SinCity feel to it with narration over the top, like the game!

so what u think ....

I haven't played the whole game i've only played the first bit of the first game but I think it's awesome and i'd love to see a film of it "Sin City" style.
Think Edward Norton would make a good Max, going on my limited knowledge of the character.
I'm possibly only saying that because of his previous narration in films, and I can imagine him narrating it. I'm not sure!

when you play the game more listen to the voice, Nortons wouldnt suit it, i was thinking Matt Dillon, as i saw him in Factotum last week and it he is such a good actor and has a good voice and can play a good hard man with issues i think.

Hey yeah Matt Dillion, I could picture that. I can't help feeling there'd be someone better in my opinion, but I can't think who at the moment!
I also see what you mean about Norton's voice.
I wonder if anyone has bought the rights for it... it'd be a great gritty movie!

They promoised this in the booklet of the 1st MP game.

The guy who played Ryan O'Riely in Oz should definatly play Max. His voice is EXACTLY EXACTLY the same.

Monica Belucci should play Mona.

*Newsflash - Whether you are already aware of this or not remains to be seen but...*

It has also been confirmed through The Hollywood Reporter that 20th Century Fox has bought the rights to bring the game to film. There are several rumours that Erwin Zagura or Dean Winters will play Max Payne. The Max Payne movie is currently slated for release in 2007, and the writing credits include Sam Lake (the writer and actor for the original Max Payne series) and Shawn Ryan, whose credits include writing for The Shield and The Unit. More information is available on IMDb and ShackNews. ---> Information taken from Wikipedia.

I know many of you may doubt the credibility of this statement, as did I for a while as well but IMDB also have Max Payne: The Movie credited for release sometime in 2007. :D :D :D

However until the *Official* MP film is released I wonder I'm personally keeping track on the development of Payne & Redemption - It's an Independent Film that was scheduled originally for an October release but they're now saying they are looking at a December release.
