Matt Damon not appearing in 'Bourne 4'

Greengrass isn't on board, and Damon won't be appearing in the film, nobody even bothered to tell him that fact first either.

Bit crap really, they should just leave it as a trilogy, and stop milking the franchise for more games/films

Couldn't agree more. A Bourne film title, but no Jason Bourne in it. Crass commercial exploitation and Pants!
Leave it alone or do it properly.:mad:
 
Matt Damon IS Jason Bourne, a fourth film just wont work if he's not in it. You just know that they're going to announce that the fourth film is a "reboot" of some kind:rolleyes:
 
I will watch it anyway. I give most franchises a chance on the fourth outting. Even if it veers way of course with different actors etc.
 
I think I read it is set in the Bourne universe - but just not to feature Bourne himself.
either way - no Matt Damon no Bourne!!!!! what is the point??!
 
Bourne universe? Surely the whole point of the Bourne films were that they did their best to appear like they were in "our" universe; ie. he's a real agent and he worked for a real spy agency.

The only thing that identifies Bourne other than Bourne is TreaRABtone - but its not really enough, being that it is only a codename for a CIA operation. So without Bourne, its really just a CIA spy thriller.

Seems daft to call it a Bourne film, when it is clearly isn't and is just using the name to try and get bums on seats.
 
Strange they never even bothered to sound Damon out about the possibility of reprising his role. Surely the film stanRAB more chance of success and validity with him in it?
 
They should have stopped with the first Bourne film, the sequels were just formulaic copies of the first one *insert fight scene here* *insert who am I dialogue there*

The films are OK, but I didn't really need the sequels that were made, I much rather get the books out again and enjoy the real Bourne.
