Here is the problem:

There are 10 couples in a party. No person has a drink with his or her spouse. But when each person has a drink, they have 1 drink with exactly 1 other person, and it's a different person every time. Everyone other than the host have different amounts of drinks. The host is part of one of the 10 couples, so there are 20 people total.

How many drinks does the host drink? (The host is 1 person)

your question is confusing but of what i can make of it....its either 1 because it says that "everyone other than the host have different amounts of drinks" or 18 because he can drink one with everyone but himself and his spouse.
