Okay I understand these math questions, I just can't think of scenarios:
1) Describe a real-life situation you could use to convince someone that 2x + 5x and 7x are different ways of expressing the same information.
2) Describe a real-life situation you could use to convince someone that 3x + 5 +4x and 7x +5 are different ways of expressing the same information.
For #1. I tried using a box of chocolates but that didn't really work. I know how to explain why these are the same but I am stuck thinking of a real-life sitch.
