Math Problem, Do Not Understand!?

This is the last question on my math worksheet, however I do not understand it at all, Can someone please do it, and explain it to me? thanks in advance, here is the problem::

In a Game of ice hockey, the hockey puck took 0.8 seconds to travel 89 feet to the goal line. Determine the average speed of the puck in feet per second.

speed = (89 ft) / (0.8 sec) = 111.25 ft/sec
