Masters degree in Computers and PhD in Education?

To be a professor, you need to have your PhD in the subject you plan to teach. If you want to teach computer science, you'd need a PhD in CS. If you want to teach in the department of education, you could get your PhD in education. But a PhD in education will not qualify you to teach computers.
 
Hi, Am holding a masters degree in Computer Application and was working in Software Industry for over 7 years. I am planning to do PhD in Education. I want to know what is the qualification needed to be a University/college level Lecturer or Professor in India.
