Masterchef Australia the new one starts today

I blame Australia's 4-0 defeat against Germany on the weird stuff they eat.
If countries were ranked according to food icons, Australia would be in the bottom ten.
Mind you The NetherlanRAB would score even lower.:D

A spring roll with mashed potato?
No thanks.

No matt-er how highly they think of themselves, the young ones are the weakest links.

Yes, the terminator was in more eliminations than the others.

Don't think the Uk version will ever change to this format but they could take some tips from it. If the Oz contestants have a bad round, they are given the chance to save themselves - and learn from it. In the UK, they are just given the boot after one bad dish!!!

They should have a UK v Oz Champion of Champions!! haha. Imagine Gregg and John with George and Gary!!!

NO.49.......so how long can you drag a decision out for......i think the wrong cut of meat which must be like a meal charlie chaplin would enjoy would be enough........let alone the wrong spice.......the aussies are supposed to be staright talkers

ive been looking for a bit where i can put in the danish getting there bacon.......instead ill just say well done.......2-0 as expected i think

that would be hilarious.. all trying to out gurn each other... and trying to time their comments to the contestants ... in... a... dramatic..... way.....for ......more.......effect...... whilst exchanging meaningful raised eyebrows.... :D

I am still loving the show though.. I miss it at weekenRAB.. lol..

I like that too and wish that they did it on Masterchef UK as well.
Peter is going to start a providore shop. Whatever that is.
Jake hopes to open his seafood snackbar by the end of the year. I think he's the most serious about changing his career.
The rest I can't remember, but I'm sure there were no major career changes.

Come to think of it. The charity chap took up a managerial position at a major IT-firm. Maybe to cook the books? :D

No surprise the outcome of episode 43 was not very well received over on the official forum.

no.34....the right result.....what is the challenge .....match the wine to the food !!!.......and surprize suprize.....the rice pudding is being made tomorrow......straight down to waitrose after and get the ingredients......top comfort food

Unbelievable that one of them won the pin.
They were both so weak.
Never made a lemon curd tart.
Never made a bearnaise sauce.
Never cooked a Chateaubriand steak before.
And the hammer: Never used a meat mallet before.

There we have it. Two of the best amateur cooks in Australia. Really?!!?

To quote Victor Meldrew: "I don't believe it!".

hi buster.....yes they do tend to get emotional.....but i think we forget that they spend a lot of time with each other and are sharing the biggest moment in there lives.....

I love this show, and only just realised there's a forum for it - woohoo. I'm only reading the last few pages, as I read too far at the start and new that the herb naming round would be the undoing of the nice blonde lady, with the dreaded mint!

Loving it, and much better as I Sky+ it, so fastforward through the adverts

Episode on Watch last night. I think this could be a good show, but there's not nearly enough cooking in it, and there are SO many ad breaks and repetition of what's already gone on. I thought Carrie should have gone last night, poor Kate.

Ha ha i loved 33 but that could be because i have been waiting for Claire to shine. they all did a great job felt sorry for the youngster and the soup but he neeRAB to learn to listen. Will catch 34 later have to go to work now. loving the show :)
