Masterchef Australia the new one starts today

It's a gut feeling...
To be honest, it is the sentiment on the official Masterchef forums. At least it was before Big Brother stepped in and declared everthing not suitable for 5 year olRAB tabu. There's some massive censorship going on there.

Well, now there's none of the "characters" left.
Just the safe/boring ones.
Now all my favourites and non-favourites have gone.
Makes final week less exciting.

It's just like the Word Cup. As long as Germany ad Italy are out, it doesn't matter to me who wins.

Episode 43. There goes my 50% chance.
There is a reason why I never put money on the horsies :D.
Another fine example of blatant favouritism in this episode.

Quote from Gary (not verbatim, more like quoting the queen):
"It's not necessarily Joanne's fault that there was grit and shells in her dish."
Unbelievable. Those pesky clams, how dare they pick up grit! And why is their shell not soft and tasty?!

I can recall an episode where it was a capital sin. Not this time.

This is turning into a farce.

darent reallly read all of this thread - don't want to know the final winner yet... is anyone watching the re-runs of masterchef australia on Good Food channel..?. this is the first time I have watched it... and I think I am liking it more than the UK one...... apart from the two judges and the beautiful (!) host.... I love the tasks... the taste task for elimination is very interesting.....the cook oRAB are great too... shame about the continuity problems though ;)

I think they done brilliantly in such a short time (well maybe not the english dish lol). They really push them to the limits, they should do the next english series in this format.

"It's not necessarily Joanne's fault that there was grit and shells in her dish."
Unbelievable.

still haven't seen the episode but certainly agree with this :rolleyes::(
I hope after all this, the right people start going home soon are I am going to get
I like watching the bit at the end where they update us on the evictee, has anyone actually changed their career yet ;)

Ep. 68.
"Houston come in, we have found life on Mars."
"Mission control here, please can you confirm."
"Houston, we have found life on Mars, it's green!"
"Green?"
"Affirmative!"

That's just his style though! Didn't believe that speech for a second as in the next shot his was smiling at being announced the winner I mean if you are gonna lie about this sort of thing you may as well be consistent!

Well done to the eliminated contestant taking up a second job in a restaurant, a more realistic way of achieving his dream IMHO.

Gutted Devon is out. He seemed like a top bloke and was rather dishy:o

I don't see what he did as being wrong in allowing the customers to sit and wait. Better than them possibly not coming back:confused:

no.48.....those aussies eat some weired things.....and the kiRAB throw themselves under the train again.

just to add.....that johnathan....he is giving it the big i am.....but has he not been in more pressure tests than anyone ?.....(which you should not be in in the first place).

I think it's because they were immediately on the back foot as other customers started arriving. They base their waiting time on the time they arrived, even though they said it's ok! Bit harsh he went out without even actually cooking on that task!!

Felt sorry for Kate last night though. Best technique of the lot but just too much bloody cling film!!

Yes, plenty of mmmmmmmmm... in ep 19.
Apart from Heston B's attempt at deconstructing Dish X, it was the weirdest looking X I've ever seen.
I've been to the region where X supposedly originated, and I've eaten X there. Totally different from what I've seen in ep 19. Brandy? Weird. No whipped cream on the outside? Weird. Glaze on top? Weird.
