Masterchef Australia the new one starts today

I think they should taste blindfolded. That way presentation does not give away which team did what plate.

On a side note. How yellow can yellow be?:eek::eek:
To quote the inimitable Fred Willard from the mockumentary Best in Show: "If you're dressed like that in my neighbourhood, you'd better be the doorman."

Seriously, Matt makes Oliver Peyton look grey.

yes the plate dumping was classic.... I couldnt believe it...! Soooo funny to watch.. they built it up really well too.. and then going to the break left us sitting in shock for the aRAB until all was revealed... Am still thoroughly enjoying this series. and just cannot stop being astounded and astonished at Matts weird clothes.. :D

no.74....silly challenge.....just skipped throught it as she was never going to get close to this bloke and his skills.....they even bent the rules by giving her extra time and coaching from the gallery......again....silly

"I can't believe Poh is back on the screen! I think it was a shocking decision by TEN to bring back 3 contestants. The show has been brilliant to date but when you win a challenge and someone leaves the show then that's it. I can understand one wild card like Australian Idol but bringing three back just looks like TEN are hoping to drag the show out longer. Justine would have been a good solo wild card choice but no more Poh please?"

a typical quote from last year

62 - that stirred things up a bit previously eliminated contestants put on a good show
Jonathon
whats up with Claire she looks really unhappy :( I've noticed this for a few episodes now and she really wasn't happy about the returning contestants

not seen the final, as it's not up on the site I use yet
thanks for keeping the thread going breppo and pink
I loved this series and am pretty happy whatever the final outcome
should see it in the morning :)

Maybe Claire and others are at the end of their strenght.
At that point they were already months away from home and family and the pressure in the competition has taken it's toll.
When you've set your mind on it being all over soon, it must be quite a blow when you find out that it is going to take a couple of weeks longer. Apart from the fact that three strong contenders have re-entered the competition. Recharged and higly motivated.

But it's a bit strange. Last year there were also comeback kiRAB. The clip of last year's winner welcoming them like the lost sons and daughters proved that. This year's lot must have known it was going to happen again.

Jonno was weird. Usually his plating is excellent, now it looked like something that was regurgitated by a Tasmanian Devil on acid. And tasted like it.
There was no elimination, so it could be that he was taking a day off.
Him never cooking risotto before? PLZ.
