Massive Help Needed 4 Using 8700G Thru TMobile, as a Modem...

Alright,I've already checked various boards about this and I still need further help. I've been tryin this modem deal w/ my blackberry 8700g thru TMobile for 3 FREAKIN MONTHS now and not one damn clue as to if it works!!! I need massive help on this so any "EXPERTS" out there please reply 2 my pin number and I will give you my phone number to call me and see if anyone can talk me thru it. Thanks!!! -Crystal
 
I don't claim to be an expert. But, I use my 8700G as a modem all the time. You have to follow the instructions exactly when you set it up. If you like, I can email you the instructions I used.
 
Berrybum - I'm unable to get very far w/ the instructions cause right now my pc only shows a "printer port" none others (like com4 or 5, like the instructions on here state..) even when the BB is hooked up and connected to DM, so I'm stuck...

Check your device manager to see what port your bb shows up on. Mine was on com3.

Hey ben, I sent an I'm to your pin, xplaining things a bit better. No ports are showing up at all, just a printer port, so I have nothinng to work off of.
 
Then you probably need to do a clean uninstall of the Desktop Manager and then Reinstall it...The desktop manager is where the ports get assigned from.
 
HOLY CRAP GUYS!!! I got the damn thing workin!!! Granted it's only 115k, but hey, can't complain... guess I'm just used to cable... LOL!! Anyway, thanks for all the help everyone!!! You all rock!!!
