Clips of the fight are on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2wO3dHUYwQ

I think it would be AMAZING and I would pee my pants in excitement if anyone had the full fight.
thanks.
I want 2 see the film because I'd like to see Kimura's technique. On the contrary, I think it'd be an AMAZING 1 hour grappling match. To see the technique of the man who beat Helio would be profound.

Bruce Lee ran out of stamina around 30 minutes in a spar. So that's the upper limit of what most people should expect from fighters in terms of endurance. UFCs are 3 rounds, 15 minutes for 3. People would be falling over at the 30 minute point simply from exhaustion.

The above descriptions of the fight on how Kimura tried to get a concussion on Helios with the back leg throw is correct. Kimura would be what the Japanese would have called a tensei. Same as the God of Judo, the one that came before Kimura. Their ability to control people's center and throw them were beyond normal human levels. Their grasp of fundamental body movement and kinesthetics also were very high. What that means is just that they don't need to see or react to a person's movement to know how to move or how they will move. They do purely based upon a mind-body connection.

Thus their actions are always 5 steps beyond their opponent's.

If you are observing Kimura's technique, you will have problems noticing what actually happened. It takes a trained eye to be able to spot the order of events and whether something was significant or not as well as what caused what. While it is exciting to see it done perfectly in a fight, until you get the principles that make up the technique, you won't be able to see through the technique.

Jesus man, don't listen to these answers. The damn fight was only 12 minutes long before Kimura submitted Helio (actually, they threw in the towel, Helio didn't tap) with a reverse-ude-garami (now called the kimura lock).

And depending who you ask, the fight is either heard as "Helio was the smaller man" or "Kimura got lucky"...etc etc.....BJJ guys defend Helio to the death and Judo guys do the same for Kimura

While it's true that Kimura was heavier than Helio, it was Helio that challenged him (also should be noted that Helio touted BJJ as an art that was "made for the smaller man to overcome a larger one"). Kimura threw Helio REPEATEDLY with Ippon seonage, osoto gari, etc, trying to knock Helio out. 12 minutes later, when he was unable to do so, Kimura got him in a Kami-shiho-gatame pin (north-south) and started smothering Helio, when Helio pushed him up, Kimura applied the arm lock to his exposed arm. Helio refused to tap at which point Kimura had no choice but to apply more pressure until his elbow broke.

THE FILM: Only about 2-3 minutes of the fight exists (which is probably what you've seen). You won't find any more than that....look all you want. Reason being is unknown, but the fact remains; that's all there is of the fight.

BEFORE ANYONE: starts going off on the Judo/Jiu-Jitsu vs. thing; I'm just going to say that it's known that Helio/Carlos Gracie invented BJJ and ARE/WERE badass, but Kimura is widely considered the best Judoka that ever lived........sooooo, that being said...have at it, it's one fight in history and it was a good one.

I wouldn't know who would have that full fight. If film of it exists it's in some archive somewhere. The fight lasted about 1 hour and 40 minutes, maybe a bit longer. I'm pretty sure that would be a boring fight to watch unless you were a very dedicated grappler that could see all the action that was actually taking place.
