The bad news it that Mary Portas - Queen of Shops - has quit the BBC

The good news is, that good old Channel "we stole the Hotel Inspector as well" Four have snapped her up and she's going to front a series in which she hopes to sort out Britain's dire customer service levels.

Sorry to be a pedant, but The Hotel Inspector isn't on Channel 4, it's on Five and always has been.

C4 poached the first one from Five, Ruth Whatsername, to do hotel inspector-alike shows. but Five got Alex instead, whos much better than Ruth was anyway imho
